Voting is a big deal. It is up to each person to really look at the issues that are involved and vote for someone based on their ideas, leadership ability, vision for our country, and values. Having put an enormous amount of effort into educating myself on the candidates, I get very frustrated when people don’t put in a minimal amount of effort.
I heard a tremendous example of this yesterday on the radio. Let me just clarify, the clip is from the Howard Stern show, but I was NOT listening to the dirty old man, I was listening to my normal right wing radio wackos. :)

Citing the Howard Stern show for political analysis, huh? Are we desperate? :)
Uneducated, idiot voters work both ways. IE, the woman McCain corrected at his town hall meeting for saying Obama was an "Arab". I really didn't want to bring this out, but here is another example...

Not desperate. Just a very glaring example... much like the people that you mentioned.
Both this post and the one Nick shared are a sad example, but like it or not these people are Americans just like we are. That's the beauty of living in this country, we have the ability to share our opinions without fear of persecution. We must remember that while we pray that our fellow Americans educate themselves in the electoral process and the candidates involved, that is not always the case. But we should NEVER say someone's voice is "less" than ours. We are all the same in God's eyes as well as the eyes of the voting machine. God Bless
Oh no, I never said someone else's voice is less than mine. Far from. That's the problem. The vote of someone who is totally ignorant of what is going on counts just as much as someone who analyzes the candidates and the issues and makes and informed decision.
I would NEVER support any kind of government measure to take the voting rights of the people away. That's why I said they should recuse themselves. If they won't make the effort to educate themselves, they shouldn't waste their time voting.
It's just funny reading you and nick on this post, like my idot is better than yours. It was a laugh out loud moment. Too bad Obama and McCain can't compare those types of things in the debates, maybe more people would care.
