If you are listening to the Liberals pushing the cap and trade bill through the process in Washington, we are teetering on the brink of a Global Warming disaster, with droughts, rising sea levels, and dead animals EVERYWHERE.
Of course if you are in Canada right now you might be praying for global warming as they are experiencing wide spread frost.
AccuWeather ran a story yesterday (that it won’t let me access now without a premium membership) talking about how much of the northern United States and Canada will not really see a summer this year.
Even this week in AZ has been really nice and it’s not often that we can say that in June. Swim classes started for my kids this week and everyone is complaining that the water is cold. Usually it’s 90 (that’s the water in the pool, not outside) by now. If this is global warming, I’m LOVIN’ IT!
If you are looking for some actual science on the subject the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change just released Climate Change Reconsidered. You can purchase the book for $154 (choke) or you can download it for free from their site.
I think you can officially say that the appropriate response to someone freaking out about climate change is to laugh… and then club them over the head with this 800+ page book of scientific evidence. But make sure you put a blanket over their peacefully resting, unconscious body… because evidently it’s cold out.

WARNING: Global Warming is INCREASING the Polar Ice?
The EPA this week completed their findings that green house gas emissions are a threat to the health of humans and should be regulated. Kind of funny that CO2 is bad for us, but God made it so that every human and animal on the planet exhales this toxic gas from our lungs EVERY SINGLE TIME WE BREATH! These green house gases are so dangerous and global warming so critical that the Antarctic polar cap is actually growing… that’s right… it’s growing.
Hmmm… must be some viscous global warming going on. I know Denver is feeling it. Those mid-APRIL winter storm warnings are typical of this warming trend. (Can you FEEL the sarcasm?)
Once again, all the evidence shows a cooling trend. It is just part of a very stable, normal cycle that the earth goes through. This is not man-made (hubris), but rather God-made and relating to the cycles of the largest heat source in our solar system, the sun.
But you are going to hear the debate heat up. They are going to push to regulate CO2 for tax and control purposes. Don’t be snowed by this LIE they are peddling. The cost to YOU will be huge. Unless you are completely self sufficient and never purchase ANYTHING from ANYBODY this will effect you. Send a letter to the president and remind him that indirect climate taxes are still taxes and you don’t want to pay them! Remind him of his promise not to increase taxes for 95% of Americans (of course he’s already broken that with the increased taxes on cigarettes… but be nice and don’t mention that one).

Real Environmental Science
I've been out for a bit on an unpaid "vacation" and enjoyed some time away from the computer, but I'm back, for my 600th post! Wow, I need to get a life.
Anyway....
If you’ve read anything on my blog you would know that I am a ‘global warming skeptic”. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe in abusing our planet, just the contrary, huge efforts should be made to help and to pressure China and India to clean up some of the worst pollution in human history flowing down what were once pristine and sacred rivers. When the claims are backed up with solid science, I am all for practicing sane and healthy environmental protections.
This is not the case for global warming. A conference recently put on by Heartland.org on climate change is a great example of what I am talking about. Instead of saying that there is a “consensus” on global warming or that to debate the science behind the issue is “silly” as Al Gore has recently claimed, Heartland.org looked at the actual science. By science of course I mean things like facts, evidence, and data, something severely lacking in the global warming hysterics. The science is very revealing. CO2 emissions have ZERO effect on global warming or cooling or global temperatures whatsoever. This is my favorite visual from the presentations.
As I’ve said before and numerous scientists and climatologists have pointed out, global temperatures correlate very closely to sun activity.
Unfortunately this is not what we are hearing from the current administration. They are using the same old phrases such as “man made global warming”.
When someone is using slogans and scare tactics to try and convince you of an impending doom that is not supported by evidence or logic, you really need to question his motives.
The answer is control and money. Cap and trade is going to be put forward soon either through direct legislation or by the EPA under the Clean Air Act. Either way, it’s a bad deal, based on bad science, for the purpose of controlling businesses and exacting tax dollars from places where they could not be taken before.
This is going to be a big fight. And it should be. Don’t concede the issue. The science doesn’t support it. Check the motives. Check the facts. Call you representatives and tell them if they vote for capping carbon you are going to vote for capping their political career.

Global Warming and Cooling Explained with Intelligence
It's almost narcissistic the way that people attribute everything to themselves, both good and bad. Not to themselves personally, but to the group as a whole. It is concerning that some of the 'global warming' environmental crowd actually say that the answer is 'limiting the population'.
Are you serious?
These people are nuts!
If you want some real science and to see some direct cause and effect relationships for earth's warming and cooling trends, you need to look UP.

2008: The Year Global Warming was Disproved
This is a great article and a must read.
As President Obama begins his first term I do hope that he takes a second look at his stance on global warming, particularly at the cap and trade system that is sure to come up in congress in the near future. Our economy just can't afford it and the new 'consensus' is that we don't need it any way.
That's the convenient truth.

The Global Warming Evidence is Piling Up...
In Vegas.
Don't worry, this is all due to global warming because... like... hmmm... that's why there are these freak winter storms... the weather is just like... hmmm.... so unpredictable now.
Before global warming, the weather men were always right!
Right?

Global Warming Hoax
It might be one of the best money making scheme that we have seen in decades. Global warming... save the planet... buy my light bulbs, hybrid car, Eco-friendly dish washing detergent... you get the picture, you've seen the adds. And you will see more of them. Al Gore is starting a new campaign involving HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to raise awareness about climate change (because it isn't enough to teach it to your kids in school).
Of course if he really wanted to do something good with the money there are several REAL charities that could benefit. But who cares about starving AIDS orphans in Africa that might die next week when there is a looming crisis (that is perpetually 30... 40... 50 years away).
Anyway, as you are deluged with stories about polar bears dying and ice caps melting, just keep this story in mind and ask yourself what this is really all about.
Quite simply it's about $. Al Gore is one of the founders of leading supplier of "carbon credits". Which really cracks me up when he says he is "carbon neutral" because he offsets his emissions with these credits. Of course, he buys the credits from HIS company. Hmmm... interesting.
It's also about fear. It goes back to the idea that if you can convince people that #1 they are miserable OR there is a looming catastrophe... then #2 you give them a source for the misery OR a cause for the catastrophe... then #3 you can present yourself or your idea as the thing to save people from their misery/catastrophe. The end result is control, regulation, less liberty, less freedom... more power to the government.
Saul Alinksi would be so proud.

Sue Al Gore for Fraud
What a concept! I love it!
As the fraud of Global Warming marches on and companies sell "carbon credits" to guilty people so that they think they are helping the environment. Someone is actually calling the former VP on the carpet. He has some credentials in this area, after all, he founded the Weather Channel.
This is classic, I love it.
Put the Global Warming fiasco to bed. It's done. And so is Al Gore.
Take your trophies and go home Al, the gig is up.

This Global Warming is so bad people are freezing to death!
Classic.
If you haven't caught on yet that this whole Global Warming thing is a crock, then you obviously aren't paying attention.
I remember as a kid listening to a little news program in school (I forget what it was called) but they were talking about another ice age. Global Cooling was a serious issue.
I can tell you as resident of the Valley of the Sun, I'm all for the Global Cooling phenomenon!
BTW, evidently Senator Obama is among those not paying attention. Read S.1389 introduced by the Senator that would REQUIRE Global Warming to be taught to school children as fact because, at the time, there was a "consensus". Personally I would rather see a BIG FAT PILE OF DATA than a steaming pile of government funded scientist spouting opinions, but hey, that's just me.
I think science should be about things that you can prove, not things that you get a group of grant winners to agree on over coffee.
Why not write a law where kids have to learn things like... reading, writing and math! What a concept!
