I'm not a big fan of the network, but I always thought that Tim Russert was a fair and reasonable journalist. I found most of his meet the press interviews to be probing and interesting no matter who the guest was. Of all the mainstream media journalists out there, I have to say that he was my favorite. From every indication he was also a tremendously nice man and a good father despite being dedicated to his work.
Unfortunately he passed away today.
My prayers go out to his wife and his son Luke.
